OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for games played April 20-26, 2026, on Monday.

MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and vote as a committee to select the winners.

For the spring seasons, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (baseball, softball) and Tuesday (men’s tennis, outdoor track and field) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship.

The Performer of the Week award winners are as follows:

Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Garrett Roehl, Cornell College
Roehl was extremely efficient in recording his first career complete game, an 8-2 victory over Ripon that lasted only 1 hour, 55 minutes. The senior right-hander scattered six hits and did not allow an earned run. Roehl induced 15 flyouts and 11 groundouts, helping Cornell jump to fourth place in the MWC race.

Baseball Positional Performer of the Week
Ketch Mills, Illinois College
Mills had a standout week, batting .556 (10-for-18) with three doubles, three home runs, 15 RBI, and 10 runs scored in helping Illinois College go 3-1, including a Midwest Conference sweep of Knox over the weekend. Mills also set a single-season RBI record for the Blueboys and now has 63.

Softball Pitcher of the Week
Cambria Currie, Illinois College
Currie won all three of her starts this week without allowing a run and gave up only three hits with 12 strikeouts. She opened the week with a two-hit shutout of Eureka with four strikeouts. Then posted a one-hit shutout with five strikeouts against Knox and concluded the weekend by firing a no-hitter against Grinnell with four strikeouts in the game that IC clinched the 2026 Midwest Conference regular season title.

Softball Positional Performer of the Week
Corrin Kennedy, Cornell College
Kennedy was a force at the plate during Cornell's 5-1 week, batting .571 (12-for-21) with seven runs, four RBIs and three stolen bases. The junior went 5-for-6 with three RBIs in a pivotal home sweep over Monmouth. Kennedy hiked her season batting average to .490.
