NEENAH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) received a pair of national honors on Tuesday morning as Monmouth’s Kaden Foglesong and UChicago’s Russell Frye were named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.

Foglesong had an immediate impact against Wartburg, in his first career start. He ended the first Knights drive by sacking the quarterback on fourth down inside the red zone. Later in the first quarter he had a strip-sack fumble, recovered by Monmouth and the Scots went on to grab a 14-0 lead. He finished the game with six tackles, two and a half tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble.

Frye hauled in a career-high seven catches for 254 yards and a touchdown in the 48-34 loss to Trine on Thursday night. In 2025, Frye finished the year with five catches for 50 yards, but the junior made an immediate impact to open the 2026 campaign, finishing just 16 receiving yards shy of breaking the all-time UChicago single-game record of 270.

This is the 28th season D3football.com has selected a Team of the Week, which honors the top player nationally at each position from the previous week.
