RIPON, Wis. - St. Norbert claimed a near sweep of league awards after winning the Midwest Conference for the fourth time in school history while compiling a total of seven 2012 MWC All-North Division honorees. Garrick Fisher was named North Division Player of the Year while teammate Kevin Nutley shared the North Division Pitcher of the Year with Beloit hurler Alex Norman. Tom Winske was named the North Division Coach of the Year after guiding the Green Knights to 26 wins.

This is the fifth time in the last six years that a St. Norbert player has been named North Division Player of the Year and Fisher is the seventh different player to win the honor. Fisher finished the year with the second most hits in the league (54) while collecting 13 doubles and two home runs. His .342 batting average was coupled with a .383 on base percentage and a mere 11% strikeout rate while starting in all 37 games.

Nutley became the third St. Norbert pitcher to win North Division Pitcher of the Year in the school’s history after a stellar sophomore campaign. The lefty earned a 4-3 record this year which included a pair of saves and a 2.69 ERA while holding hitters to only a .230 average. Norman was the first pitcher not from either Ripon or St. Norbert to win North Division Pitcher of the Year after a season where he led the league in innings pitched (70), wins (seven) and ERA (2.19) while finishing runner-up with 51 strikeouts.

Winske was named North Division Coach of the Year for the seventh time after leading the Green Knights to a 26-11 mark and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. St. Norbert led the entire league in average (.334), runs (319) and hits (433) while pushing his career record at St. Norbert to 298-193-1.

Grinnell claimed three All-South Division honors headlined by now four-time South Division Player of the Year Mike Nodzenski. Nodzenski is joined by pitcher Andrew Kelley who was named South Division Pitcher of the Year while head coach Tim Hollibaugh earned Coach of the Year. Terry Davis shared South Division Player of the Year honors with Nozenski after an outstanding regular season.

Nodzenski finished his decorated career winning a share of the South Division Player of the Year award after hitting .366 with a 1.133 OPS. The senior catcher also hit seven home runs and drove in 33 leading the Pioneers to their third straight MWC South Division title and the right to host the 2012 MWC Baseball Championship. Davis led the Blueboys to a 21 win season by finishing atop the MWC in average (.453), slugging (.872), RBI (48), and home runs (11). He also led the team with 12 doubles and 39 runs scored in 33 games.

For the third straight year a Pioneer hurler was awarded as South Division Pitcher of the Year with Kelley picking up the honor in 2012. Kelley posted a team-best 2.96 ERA in 17 appearances this season and held a 5-2 record mainly working out of the bullpen. In 45.2 innings he only gave up ten extra base hits and held opposing hitters to a .250 average.

Hollibaugh won his fifth South Division Coach of the Year award and the third in the last three years. He guided the Pioneers to a 17 win season that earned the team the third straight MWC South Division title and having his final win of the season as his 250th of his career.
