GRINNELL, Iowa – For the second year in a row, the Red Hawks of Ripon College have been selected by the league's nine head coaches to sweep the Midwest Conference (MWC) Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field titles.
 
In this year’s preseason coaches’ poll, Ripon collected seven first-place votes and 63 points to lead all teams. Last season, the Red Hawks swept both team championship crowns for the first time in program history. It was their second consecutive indoor title and first program outdoor title. 
 
In second place, Cornell College picked up the remaining two first-place votes and 53 points, ahead of Grinnell College in third with 51 points.
 
Monmouth College (45) and Lawrence University (36) rounded out the top-five, followed by Illinois College (28), Beloit College (24), Knox College (16), and Lake Forest College (8).
 
The season starts this weekend as four schools compete in indoor events between Friday, December 1, and Saturday, December 2. 
 
The 2024 MWC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be hosted by Ripon College on February 23-24, 2024, and Illinois College will host the 2024 MWC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
