MWC Student-Athletes Qualify for 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – The 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will begin this Friday, March 8, through Saturday, March 9, at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and five Midwest Conference (MWC) student-athletes have qualified for the event. 
 
In running events, Jenny Cortes will compete in the women’s 800-meter event and Jacoby Cefalu in the men’s 200-meter, both representing Ripon, while Cornell College’s Isaac vanWestrienen will race the men’s 3000-meter and 5000-meter.
 
In field events, Ripon’s Dameco Walker will participate in the men’s long jump and triple jump, and Monmouth College’s Shane Anderson and teammate Caleb Toberman in the men’s weight throw.
 
For each individual event contested, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition.
