NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Academic Athletes and Teams for the 2024 NCAA Division III Track & Field Seasons last week with 15 Midwest Conference (MWC) student-athletes and 11 league teams receiving the honor.
Highlighting both athletic achievement and academic excellence, teams must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, among other qualifiers, to be named an NCAA Division III All-Academic Team. Four teams represent the men’s side including Cornell, Grinnell, Lawrence, and Ripon. Seven teams earned the distinction on the women’s side – Beloit, Cornell, Grinnell, Illinois College, Lawrence, Monmouth, and Ripon.
To be named an NCAA Division III All-Academic Athlete, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and meet one of the following athletic criteria: finish the indoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS or competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the indoor descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50 individuals or top 35 relay teams, but who participated at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible.
