MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina – Two Midwest Conference student-athletes earned All-America honors this weekend at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Cornell College’s
Hailey Carolan had a fourth-place podium in the women’s high jump and Grinnell College’s
Lucas Fadden placed eighth in the men’s 100-meter dash.
In Friday’s high jump competition, Carolan posted a 1.71m mark on her second attempt to finish fourth and secure a second consecutive All-America podium finish.
Fadden advanced to 100-meter final after finishing seventh with a qualifying time of 10.46 on Friday. In the Saturday final, delayed roughly four hours due to weather, Fadden finished eighth with a time of 10.65.
The NCAA awards All-America honors to the top-eight finishes in each event of the championships.
