OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – On the heels of a 9-1 season and a perfect 9-0 mark in Midwest Conference play, the Monmouth College football program has earned a bye in the first round of the NCAA Playoffs, announced on Sunday afternoon. The Fighting Scots will visit Saint John’s University on Saturday, November 29 in round two. Kickoff is set for noon in Collegeville, Minnesota.
Capturing its second MWC title in the last four seasons, head coach Chad Braun has led Monmouth back to the NCAA Playoffs for the first time since 2019. The Fighting Scots are searching for their first NCAA Playoffs victory since 2011.
After a 21-7 loss to national powerhouse Wartburg in the season opener, Monmouth rolled through Midwest Conference play. The Fighting Scots won every MWC contest by at least 29 points, pitching three shutouts and allowing single-digit points in eight of nine conference contests.
