MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – Cornell senior libero Ella Becker has been recognized on the 2025 Honorable Mention All-America Team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Becker is the 11th Ram to earn all-America status since 2011, all under head coach Jeff Meeker. The Rams have now landed at least one all-America honoree in each of the past nine full seasons.
Becker is Cornell’s first all-American at the libero position since 2019 (current assistant coach Sydney Durgin).
It’s been a banner-filled postseason for Becker, a four-year backrow staple honored on the All-Region IX First Team and All-Midwest Conference First Team earlier this month.
Becker eclipsed the 500-dig mark for the second consecutive year, averaging 4.68 per set this fall. The Ankeny, Iowa native finished No. 3 on Cornell’s career digs list with 2,026 – her graduation year.
The 16th MWC player to record 2,000 career digs, Becker was also one of the most efficient servers in Cornell history. She finished second all-time with a 96.6 serve percentage, misfiring only 50 times in 1,485 career attempts.
A three-time all-conference selection, Becker steered the Rams (19-11) to their 13th consecutive MWC regular-season championship and their fifth straight MWC Tournament title, and subsequent NCAA berth.
Becker played in 122 career matches for the Rams, five in the NCAA Tournament. She compiled a career-best 31 digs in her final collegiate match, a 3-2 regional quarterfinal battle with Dubuque.
