GRINNELL, Iowa – Not only will Grinnell College be sending athletes to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, the Pioneers will be going there in big numbers.

Grinnell has its largest contingent of qualifiers since 1991, and also its first relay qualifier since that season, for the meet slated for March 19-22 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

Kevin Fitzgerald '25 qualified for nationals in the 400-yard individual medley and 400 freestyle relay along with Rommin Adl '26, Aidan Donovan '28 and Evan Feilmeyer '28. Fitzgerald's qualification in the 400 individual medley marks the first time a GC athlete will compete in that event at nationals.

That same group will also compete in the 200 freestyle relay, 800 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay. Individually, Fitzgerald will swim the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle, while Adl will compete in the 100 freestyle and Feilmeyer the 200 butterfly for reaching NCAA "B" cuts.
