Red Hawks Retain #19 Ranking in February 9 D3hoops.com Poll

OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – After clinching a share of the Midwest Conference regular season title, the Ripon women’s basketball program continues to be ranked 19th by D3hoops.com in the organization’s latest rankings.
 
Winners of 15 consecutive games with a 13-0 MWC record, Ripon blitzed Lawrence and Monmouth last week by scores of 68-53 and 88-53, respectively. The Red Hawks have won 22 consecutive home games and have won each Midwest Conference contest by double digits this season.
 
Outscoring opponents by an average of 23.5 points per game this season – the eighth-best scoring margin in Division III – four Red Hawks continue to average double digit points per contest: Laney Havlovitz (13.2), Natalie Rauwolf (11.3), Halle Van Horn (10.7) and Sophie Schlieve (10.0). Head coach Lauren Busalacchi’s club ranks inside the top 10 nationally in scoring margin, rebounding margin (second) and field goal percentage (ninth).
 
Ripon, ranked 15th in the latest Women’s Basketball Coaches Association poll, hosts Cornell on Tuesday, February 10 at 7:30 p.m. with a chance to lock up the outright MWC title and MWC Tournament hosting rights with a win.
