OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Grinnell College women’s tennis program holds its spot in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Women’s Top 40 Coaches Poll as announced by the organization on Wednesday morning.

Ranked 40th in the February 11 edition of the rankings, the Pioneers are preparing to open their spring schedule on Sunday, February 15 with a home match against UW-Stevens Point. Playing a grueling non-conference schedule, Grinnell’s next 13 contests are scheduled away from home.

Grinnell was also ranked 40th in the preseason rankings from the ITA, released on January 14.

The ITA Top 40 Coaches Poll is voted on by the ITA National Ranking Committee. The National Ranking Committee is made up of the four ITA Region Chairs and a National Chair, with each chair casting an individual, secret ballot.
