Five MWC Athletes Qualify for Indoor Nationals in Seven Events

OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The NCAA announced the qualifiers for the 2026 Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday night, with four Midwest Conference men’s athletes earning berths to nationals. The two-day event will take place on March 13-14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, hosted by the city of Birmingham.
 
Beloit College’s Josh Yearby will run in the 60-meter dash, while Cornell College’s Isaac vanWestrienen qualified in both the 3000-meter run and the 5000-meter run. vanWestrienen’s teammate, Jacob Bach, is a participant in the mile. Grinnell College’s Lucas Fadden also was a multi-event qualifier – doing so in the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash – while Illinois College’s Melvin Hodge will compete in the weight throw.
 
For each individual event, the top 20 declared student-athletes earned a place in the championship field.
