Two Women's MWC Tournament Teams Ranked by ITA on April 22

OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – With the regular season now in the rearview mirror, two Midwest Conference women’s tennis programs are represented in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Women’s Computerized Team Rankings, announced by the organization on Wednesday.
 
Ranked 28th with a record of 14-6, Grinnell College closed the regular season on a high note, defeating Central 7-0 at home on Sunday (April 19).
 
Cornell College has a 24-3 overall record and is ranked 48th in the poll. The Rams defeated both Wartburg (7-0) and UW-Stevens Point (5-2) in Waverly, Iowa on Sunday to round out regular season play.
 
Grinnell won the Midwest Conference women’s tennis regular season title in the fall, its sixth consecutive league crown. The Pioneers will be the #1 seed in May’s MWC Tournament, searching for their sixth-straight NCAA Tournament berth. Cornell will be the third seed in the tournament, facing second-seeded Lake Forest in the semifinals. The Rams are looking to win their first MWC Tournament in school history.
