NEENAH, Wisconsin – Four Midwest Conference (MWC) cross country programs remain represented in the USTFCCCA’s regional rankings following the release of the Week 3 polls on Tuesday. 

With all four programs taking a week off from competition, the MWC’s regional representation remains unchanged from last Tuesday. Cornell College and Grinnell College continue to represent the Midwest Region on the women’s side, while the Grinnell men are also ranked regionally. The Ripon College women remain ranked in the North Region. All four programs have now been ranked in each of the first four USTFCCCA regional rankings. 

Cornell maintains its No. 6 spot in the women’s Midwest Region for the second week in a row. The Rams opened the season with a pair of second-place team finishes. 

The Grinnell women remain at No. 8 in the Midwest Region. As a team, the Pioneers have finished third or better at each of their three meets this season. 

The Grinnell men are ranked number 10 in the Midwest Region. The Pioneers have recorded team runner-up finishes in each of their first three meets of 2026. 

In the North Region, the Ripon women hold steady at No. 10 for the second consecutive week. The Red Hawks have posted both first and third-place finishes in their first two meets of the season. 

All four teams return to competition on October 3 at Carleton’s Running of the Cows. Saturday’s meet will be at the site of the 2026 NCAA Cross Country Championships.
