GRINNELL, Iowa – In the second week of the Midwest Conference (MWC) SAAC 10th Annual Giving Challenge, campus teams significantly surpassed their first-week collection totals, gathering 2,790 non-perishable items and $1,335 in monetary donations.
Lawrence University jumped from sixth to first place, collecting 1,417 non-perishable goods and $755, for a week-two equivalency of 2,927 and a two-week Challenge total of 3,085.
llinois College is in second place with an equivalency of 1,365, having collected 1,255 canned goods and $55 in monetary donations during week two.
Last week’s leader, Ripon College, is now in third with an equivalency of 1,191. The Red Hawks added 83 non-perishable items to their total donations.
In fourth place, Monmouth College reported $201 in monetary donations, bringing their two-week collection total to 785.
Lake Forest College ranks fifth with an equivalency of 578, followed by Cornell College in sixth with 508. The Foresters added $118 in monetary donations, while the Rams contributed $106.
Knox College (212), Beloit College (200), and Grinnell College (45) round out the standings. The Buccaneers added $100, and the Pioneers contributed 35 non-perishable items in week two of the drive.
