LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2025 Academic All-America® men's soccer teams on Tuesday and Lake Forest College's Peter Cirbo was among the distinguished honorees.

Cirbo, a junior midfielder, was a First Team Academic All-America® selection after helping lead the Foresters to arguably the best season in program history while continuing to succeed in the classroom. He is just the fourth player in program history to earn Academic All-America® honors and the second with first team distinction.

Tuesday's award adds to a long list of accolades for Cirbo this fall. The team captain was named Forester Athlete of the Week three times and Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week twice during the year and was voted First Team All-MWC and the MWC Offensive Player of the Year by league coaches at the conclusion of the regular season. United Soccer Coaches made him a Second Team All-Region IX selection on December 2 and a Fourth Team All-American two days later. Cirbo was also one of four players on the team to be named Academic All-District® by CSC last month.

Cirbo led all league players with 11 goals, 10 assists, and 32 points. His assist total tied for the 18th-highest mark in the nation and he was tied-for-44th in points. In addition, just four players in the country scored more than his six game-winning goals.

Majoring in physics, Cirbo carries a 3.91 cumulative grade point average. He was named Academic All-MWC in the summers following his freshman and sophomore years and is a two-time CSC Academic All-District® selection.

Lake Forest won its first 15 games in 2025 and finished the year with a team record 19 victories against just two losses. The Foresters went 8-0-0 in MWC play to claim their league record 20th conference championship and won the MWC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the fourth year in a row.
