OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for games played December 8-14, 2025, on Monday.
MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and vote as a committee to select the winners.
For the winter season, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (basketball) and Tuesday (swimming and diving, indoor track and field) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship.
The Performer of the Week award winners are as follows:
Men’s Basketball Performer of the Week
Russell Wright, Knox College
Wright had a career night at Greenville last Wednesday, scoring a career-high 30 points on 13-of-17 (.765) from the floor and a perfect 4-of-4 at the foul line as Knox pulled out a 131-127 overtime victory over the Panthers. He also matched personal bests on the glass with 12 rebounds and in the post with three blocked shots, plus set another career high with seven assists, all while turning the ball over just once against the Greenville press. For the season he is shooting nearly 60 percent on field goals (34-of-57, .596) while averaging 10.8 points and 7.0 rebounds a night, the latter of which ranks sixth in the Midwest Conference.
