Grinnell Women's Tennis Ranked 40th in Preseason ITA Rankings

OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – After earning its seventh consecutive Midwest Conference regular season title, the Grinnell College women’s tennis program has been nationally ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Preseason Coaches Poll as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Looking to build off of a 2025 spring campaign which saw the Pioneers advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, head coach Zack Hasenyager’s squad is set for another challenge spring schedule in 2026. Grinnell will face preseason #1 WashU, #7 Johns Hopkins, #24 Christopher Newport, #34 Carleton and #39 Mary Washington in the coming months.
 
Three All-MWC performers – Marta Gonzalez, Isa Voinescu and Anika Sheth – are looking to lead Grinnell to its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth.
 
The Pioneers finished the 2025 fall dual season with a 6-0 league record, playing six total matches. Grinnell begins the spring season with a home match against UW-Stevens Point on February 15 and enters the MWC Tournament – set for May 2 – as the top seed.
