OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference (MWC) announced its Performers of the Week award recipients for games played December 22-January 4, 2026, on Monday.

MWC sports information directors nominate student-athletes for the Performer of the Week honor by sport and vote as a committee to select the winners.

For the winter season, Performers of the Week will be recognized every week on Monday (basketball) and Tuesday (swimming and diving, indoor track and field) once their seasons have been triggered (three MWC institutions competing) and will conclude the week prior to the sport-specific Conference tournament/championship.

The Performer of the Week award winners are as follows:

Men’s Basketball Performer of the Week
Alex Forowycz, Lake Forest College
Forowycz averaged 24 points per game while helping lead Lake Forest to three victories last week. The senior scored 22 points in Monday's 92-87 victory over North Central College, including 20 in the second half as the Foresters erased a 20-point deficit in the period. He then poured in 35 in Tuesday's 97-88 triumph over the hosts of the Loras Holiday Classic. The team resumed league play on Saturday with a 101-67 rout of Knox and Forowycz made five of six field goal attempts in a 15-point performance. He shot 24-for-35 from the field, 12-for-19 from three-point range, and 12-for-13 from the line while adding eight rebounds, eight assists, four steals, and a pair of blocks in the three games combined.

Women’s Basketball Performer of the Week
Juniper Schwartzman, Grinnell College
Schwartzman was a monster on the boards, grabbing a career-high 19 rebounds in the Pioneers’ 58-40 victory at Nebraska Wesleyan University. The rebound total ranks eighth in program history and is tops in the league this season. Schwartzman also had five points and an assist as Grinnell posted its largest margin of victory ever in the Prairie Wolves’ gym.
