NEENAH, Wisconsin – The Midwest Conference has garnered national recognition in football for the fifth consecutive week, as Cornell College’s Joshua Martin was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday morning.
Martin, who was selected as a safety in this week's honors, secured two interceptions in a 42-28 win against Ripon. Martin has five interceptions this season – the most in the MWC – and has intercepted a pass in eight of his last 13 games. He also registered four tackles, all solo.
The senior has 29 tackles on the season, including 17 solo stops and 12 assisted tackles, while also forcing one fumble and breaking up three passes.
The 2026 season marks the 28th year that D3football.com has selected its Team of the Week, recognizing the top national performer at each position from the previous week. The honor represents the fifth MWC Team of the Week selection of the season, as Martin joins Chicago’s Russell Frye (Sept. 8), Monmouth’s Kaden Fogelsong (Sept. 8) and Lake Forest’s Dom Esposito (Sept. 15), Ben Jones (Sept. 22) and James Jordan (Sept. 29).
