Eight Qualify for NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — The NCAA announced qualifiers for the 2023 Outdoor Track & Field Championships Friday, and eight Midwest Conference (MWC) student-athletes were chosen to compete. The three-day event will be held May 25-27, 2023, at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex in Rochester, NY. 
 
The MWC Champion Red Hawks of Ripon College led all teams with three athletes qualifying for five events on the men's side. Cade Gray will compete in the pole vault with a number one ranking and in the long jump as the second seed behind Dameco Walker as the number one seed. Walker will also participate in the triple jump, while Ben Fisher will challenge the field of high jumpers.
 
Knox College’s Tyrell Pierce will represent the Prairie Fire in two events, racing the 400-meter as the second seed and the 200m just outside of the top-10.
 
On the women’s side, Cornell College received two selections with Hailey Carolan in the high jump and Natalie McAllister in the heptathlon, while Monmouth College’s Maddie Boley will compete in the discus and Beloit College's T'Aira Boyance will race the 400-meter. 
 
For each individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top -22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. The complete list of qualifiers can be found here.
